Personally, I would pay extra to get the long tele lenses with black color.

With white tele lenses you won't be let in to many sports events. When I take my 300mm f4 to a football game, I always disguise it as black so I can gain access. The one lens you will ALWAYS get in with is the 200mm 2.8 L (black). Good luck getting in with a white 70-200mm 2.8.
