That one is much batter, need to get a little bit lower. Also, try doing a vertical crop with just #12 and the QB.

How about a 1D Mark III? I've seen plenty of them going for $1300-$1400.
I'd take it any day over a 7D. With $1000 already saved, you're not too far away.

no offense taken

Ive looked and looked and asked for advice

I have the cash for a 7D
told seller Im ready to pull the trigger
havent heard back

I dont think for 1000 I can get a IIn or a MarkIV
If I had the money sure

but for 1000 is the 7D my best bet?

Once you use a pro body, you'll never go back...

I guess it depends on why he posted it. Like you said, it's OOF, no face, bad angle, but timing was right. Ok, I think a lot of people can do that.

No offense to the original poster, but on a forum where you want to show off your work, you want to post only the best.

Now, if you were asking for a critique and to figure out what went wrong? Then fine, post any image that'll help you learn.

^^^^THIS^^^^

Way to keep at it Burnet,I think you will benifit from better equipment, and I would also chose a pro body over a 7D anyday.

You're not going to find a new Mark III anywhere as they have been discontinued by Canon for several years. They are built like tanks, so you shouldn't have any problem finding a used one in decent shape.

Sell the 40D for $300-$400 and you're all set (assuming it's in good shape)!

That was mine, I forgot to edit it, thanks for the reminder!

By the way, I chose another 1Dmk3 over a 7D. I sold the 7D to buy it. I never liked that body compared to the pro bodies.

This is totally true. Once you get that feel, it's very hard to go back to anything less.
