I know that you're asked a lot of questions about your technique, and I hope you won't mind answering one more. What I'm wondering is: in your outdoors photos, how often are you using 100% natural light? Do you utilize OCF/modifiers often, or simple on-camera fill flash for that matter? I can't tell! Thanks in advance for your reply, Dave Thanks Dave! I usually never use flash outdoors. All the pics in the thread are 100% natural light. I always shoot in shaded areas and TRY to get her facing a light source. The shot above with her wearing some of her mommy's makeup I used our house as a reflector. We were in the shade and I positioned her so sunlight reflected off our house on her face. You can kind of see it in the reflecton in her eye. I also used OCF with some family pics I took for my sister in law and her family! It was very bright so I used the flash to fill the harsh shadows. SmugMug
