Thank you for the comments/critiques. While I love hearing how wonderful my pics are (on facebook, haha), it just means more to get complements from those who actually understand what goes into getting them. And, of course, I greatly appreciate any critique to help me improve!

Very nice shots. I would like to see you drop the exposure of #3&4 down. I does not seem to match the others. Also, the second to last pic, would be more intimate if leaned into each other more. Other than those slight adjustments everything looks very good.
Thank you, I'll tone them down a bit, and try to get a similar pic with their heads closer next time (since they are good friends, I'm sure there will be another time soon
)

I'm just not sure about the poses of the two kissing pictures. The first one he has her hand on the back of her head like he's forcing it and I don't think the second is very flattering for her. I like the rest.
I think he had his hand on her head because she was swinging, in an attempt to keep her close enough for a quick kiss.

It helps if you number this many pictures in one post.
The maple tree overpowers the couple in #5 and # 6. (also a slight green cast on skin)
The white stripes in her sweater are blown out in all but the last.
For the next time maybe suggest something with some color.
Like the last one the most.
Thank you, maybe I'll try to have them dress in solid colors next time.

On #4, his pose looks very awkward, and her head is pretty hot...could probably tone it down with the highlights slider in lightroom if you shot raw, I don't think it is completely blown out, but I can't tell on here.
Other than that this is a very nice set!
I'm guessing that the swinging kiss was maybe not the best idea I had all day LOL Seemed cute in theory! Thank you!

7 and 8 are just great. I really like that last one,it feels heartfelt. The tree set separate them, and her leaning over showing her bum is not the most flattering, lol.
Thanks, the last is my favorite...well, either that one or the one before it! Unfortunately, this was pretty much the only tree that had really changed colors as of the day we did these. So, if we can find another, bigger tree with nice colors, maybe have them under it, to the side of the trunk?

White balance is a bit warm for me. I really like the composition of the first and last two photos the most out of this set. 2, 3, and 4 look a bit over exposed and the white stripes on the sweater are hot. If you can, try to use a curves adjustment or highlights adjustment in your image editing program. The two photos with the tree look really close to being just right, but the dead center tree throws it off for me.
If you're really brave, you could liquify her butt and tighten it up a bit. Never show her the original if you do, though... you have to pass it off as just being perfect.

I'm not sure if I can do liquify in Aperture
I'll have to look into it. She actually did a bit of nip/tuck on their chins in some of the pics, and slimmed herself a bit in some.

Her hand pose in the last 2 is a bit awkward like she is overdoing it...pictures look great though
Those last two were actually the best ring shots I got
I need to invent in extension tubes or a macro lens. Thanks!

Great job. #2 or #8 should be the ones that go out with the announcements! -rick
Thanks!
