one of those great sing-a-long nights, the place sold out to folks who want to chime in with every "ooooh" section. And Ben Folds obliged: lots of good crowd interaction, odd jokes, and even a few new songs sprinkled in with the classics.

tough assignment to get photos of a piano player like that...unless he turns his head, the best you can do is a profile. and #3 is a nice one.

does he have bandages on his fingers?

Hey! I shot this show too! I was the guy shooting with primes, not the guy shooting with the Leica though.

Thx Rick, Tim, & Anthony.

yeah, he had on some finger guards, and I tried to get them to stand out more in the photo- they're very skin colored. Ben also spent a good 4 minutes placing extra felt under the hammers to dampen the sound, something I've never seen done in a show.

sorry didn't get to say hey, Anthony. Ha, not sure who Captain Leica was. He didn't really want to chat much.

I like #1 (with the exception of the drummer, not too big a deal) and #2.
#3 is okay, in #4 the skin looks like it was too overexposed to be recovered?

Having shot Ben Folds before, this is a nice set. Tough to make them interesting as he is behind that piano. Colors look great. I dig 2 a lot.

He's a great performer, but it's hard to shoot him. You have done well!

The first one is great :)
