Red-Shouldered Hawk?

Think this is a Red-Shouldered Hawk but I have trouble identifying sometimes. Only let me take a few photos but I'm fairly happy with how they turned out.

Assuming you took this photo where you live, there are no Red-Shouldered Hawks in your area. Furthermore, that is a Merlin anyways, MUCH better find!!

Yup took it about ten minutes away from where I live. I never actually checked to see where the red shouldered hawk is normally found. It was a pretty small hawk as well.

Good to know. I just wish all my pictures from my 7d-500 combo were this sharp.

Looks like it may frequent that log, so you might want to swing by it from time to time.
