Hope you like it. Just remember - if you're at 1.4 you'll need liveview to nail focus. The viewfinder does not give you an accurate representation of what the lens is seeing (at least in my experience).

Hey ride do use a filter with this lens or does anybody else in here use filter just wondering... hey ride I can't wait I even payed extra to get it today I should be getting my m42 mount and Pentax mount too..out all of my lenses I have nothing that touches 1.4

I think a polarizer is a good addition to any lens in the right conditions, but I haven't used mine with this lens yet. If you're shooting outdoors in very bright light at f1.4 you may find you need an ND filter, but I again I have yet to use one with mine. I've never used a UV filter (on any lens for that matter) so I can't speak to those, however, I do tend to keep the hood mounted on it to combat flare.

No AF chip yet on mine, but I do have the Ee-S screen on my 5D which helps heaps. Regarding filters, I've got a cheap UV filter on mine just for protection. I actually think it's fake. I did a UV lamp test on it. Fortunately it doesn't degrade IQ.
