50D - any luck with it lately?

Just called CLP. Said it is not available. And may be discontinued.

great thread that I've put to use on a 7D refurb kit

refurb price minus another 20% for the powershot return

tax is done on the bottom line price

Fedex ground

they did add $6 for a recycling fee. My guess is that the $6 represents the cost to ship the powershot to them (they include a return label)

none of the lenses I wanted were in stock. In fact I think only 4-5 models were IN stock lol. None of the speedlites were in stock.

I had picked up other powershots per the recommendations here lol. I'll be getting a Rebel *wink*wink* when the lenses are back in stock

The 50d has been discontinued for some time. The question is when it is removed from the refurb/CLP list--all depends on how fast the remaining 50Ds are cleared out.

Can you use a canon camera that has been stripped of parts? I have one where screen is cracked and parts are missing that I got from eBay.

is there a limit to stuff you can buy in a single order when you buy a dslr?

say, a T3i with a 100-400, 24-70, 70-200 (heck get two), a 16-35, 17-40, throw in some primes, a few speedlites ..............

lol, just wondering as there was a post earlier about a 3 purchase limit to an address.

ok, I just ordered four different lenses (only one each) with one body kit. Reminder: not every lens qualifies for the CLP discount.

One of the lenses I ordered that I wanted did not get the CLP discount while the others, including the body kit, did.

So just to clarify, you were able to get the additional 20% discount on three of the additional lenses?

Total of 5 - kit lens, plus 4 others?

I have updated the First Post to reflect that you can order additional lenses at the regular price at the time of your CLP purchase, but I just want to clarify that you received the discount on the Kit and then 3 of the 4 additional lenses.

It may be easier if you could post the specific kit and lenses with the pricing you were charged.

Thanks

24-105
70-200 2.8 mkOne (no discount)
T3i, 18-55 kit

great thread that I've put to use on a 7D refurb kit
...........

well I swiftly discovered why this one was a refurb lol

If auto-offed for more than 3-4 minutes it will not come back on from auto-off unless you pull the battery. Even cycling the on/off switch won't do it.

Smooth transaction initiating the return and creating a new order (quicker that way) along with overnight shipping included.
