One from this season... the great Arkeel Newsome. Was 2nd in the Nation in rushing yards last season... as a sophomore. Here running against Holy Cross 10/5/12.

Another game shot last night that I'm not even going to upload to my site.
ISO 12,800/F4/SS 1/320 = total garbage. At least next weeks game is at a far better lit stadium. They are a brand new school (3 Years old) and have a lot of Native American casino money that built their school. Impressive campus and stadium to say the least.

Great shots! I don't hate flashed action shots. Just the ones where the shadow overwhelms the image. Yours are great.

My work flows goes like this.

Ingest all RAW images to LR
View all at 100%, delete soft images, tag images I want to submit

  1. Edit the tagged, edit submit
  2. Then I'll go through the rest, delete all that are not keepers.
  3. Then I'll edit the first image (still in LR), (sharpening, exposure, curves, crop to size I want export to) then sync the rest with those settings. For this time of the year, Ill have to break that down as things get darker and I raise the ISO. So I'll do all the images I've shot at...say ISO 400. Then when I raise ISO to 800, I'll edit that first image and sync the rest and so on...if that makes sense.

Then I'll crop tight, export and generally done. The whole process for a typically game will take between one and two hours and produce a gallery of 100 keepers or so.

I have pretty much the same process, too. I quickly tag the potential keepers (P in LR3), which is typically more than 100 images - at the same time I tag the bad ones for deletion. I then go through the tagged images and give the ones I really like a 5 star rating (makes it easier to find and edit in LR3) and those are the ones that go into the gallery. I try to keep a gallery at 100 or less images. My reason for this is when I've viewed my galleries with 150+ images, I noticed the volume gets lower towards the end; it could be for many reasons, but I believe it's the volume of images.

Btw, I like this thread as it allows us to showcase our work and not possibly be skipped over as the post travel to the bottom and other pages.
