I searched for this lens but couldn't find anything on the forums. Has anyone used this lens and could tell me if any good and if it's worth buying or not? I'm only going to be using this lens for video with a 60D.

Try looking for Samyang 14mm as, I understand, they are the same lens.

I found a sort of review here (external link) . Unfortunately, while it talks in loose terms about the lens construction it makes no reference to optical quality.

From my research i've read that a lot of people get frustrated with the lack of protection on that large front element. This shouldn't be an issue if you're careful with it. another thing is the manual focus and lack of focus confirmation. if you use ML focus peaking than this shouldn't be an issue either. on DPreview this is generally the biggest gripe about the lens. http://www.dpreview.com …myang_14_2p8/user-reviews (external link)

to answer the first question of whether it is worth buying or not... Do you have any wide lenses, do you have a lot of extra money to spend? are you constantly wishing you could have a wider lens? if so you'll be getting something like a 23mm lens with your camera.

I personally have a 35mm lens from the same company and it is a surprisingly high quality lens for the money.
