This week I had to shoot our games with my 1d mkII as my mk3 was at CPS getting some repairs done on it. Although I had to crank up the ISO all the way up to 1600 I am really happy with the shots that I got this past weekend. After not using my mk2 for almost a year its nice to know that it can still get the job done.

CC is always welcomed.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Thanks guys #7 & 8 were from a game where they had pink ice, it really threw off the color and metering. I was fighting with it all night

I hate when they do the pink ice. We have a 'pink in the rink' night and my shots always look dirty until later in the period when the ice gets chewed up.

4 is prob my favorite.

they all look good to me...

better than mine. im STILL trying to figure out what im doing wrong. im not very confident in my 70-200's sharpness...

we dont do the pink ice for whatever reason. too much money for the owner to do it and then 'un-do' it i guess...

(NAHL Tier II hockey)

Nice series of hockey images. I like how you captured the defensive play in both 2 and 3.
