Funny how the most beloved lens, 85mm 1.2L is also the most criticized everywhere else.
My pick.....50mm 1.2L

As far as off-brand (for Canon, of course) lenses go, I’ll say, Zeiss 21/2.8 or Zeiss 85/1.4.

Well my kit 18-55 lens hit the ground from one story onto cement, bounced onto grass and survived. The hood took brunt of the impact and lucky the damage is limited to the lens hood. She's not the most beautiful though I'd thought I'd share.

I said 85L earlier, but now I have a 17 TS-E and I have to say.. it's even prettier than the 85L. 8-)

35L or the 17-40L.

The 17-40L's sample pics have amazing color contrast.

As far as Canon Brand, I'd have to say 85L or 50L from the front.... both nice pieces of glass!

The new Sigma and all Zeiss look great. I basically love everything with a red ring around it, but man the MP-E looks great.

Definitely the 85L. The huge glass in the front, the huge shape and weight to it. It just looks and feels like a million bucks.
