Another great set, No.2 and 3 are the best for me. One was supposed to make a flypast at RAF Waddington airshow this year, but unfortunately it never materialised so I'm still waiting to see one while I've got a decent camera with me.

Nice series.. used to watch them fly into Okinawa when Guam was getting bad weather very graceful for such a big plane..

I'd be happy if I shot any one of those photos! What was lighting the underside?

StaticMedia wrote in post #15154204 (external link)
I agree, that is a sweet glow

Thanks everyone.
For those that asked, the lighting underneath was just normal outdoor light. Guess I got lucky with it.

Whatever it was, those are really nice. So often the underside is just a featureless shadow. I like the color-contrast with the part of the wing where the flaps come from.

I just checked my Buff shots, and I don't think I've ever seen a pass with the flaps down.

They actually made 2 passes by. If I recall the 1st pass was low & slow while the 2nd pass was much faster.

Holy Cow, these are presented with perfection in this set. 1 and 2 are stunning. I'd love to see these larger!

I must say, shooting (in) the BUFF is interesting. Nice lighting on all. Sorry, bad pun.

Thanks Gary, I wish I could take credit for the lighting but it was all mother nature. :D
