Thanks everyone for the compliments on the Badwater shot; it was a matter of timing and luck.
@Legen_dary - yes, I was pretty close to the storm, and it became a bit of a monster. It washed out some areas of the only road back to my hotel, and some park rangers had to come in with 4x4s and get me and some other people out. Some folks had cars almost washed away, some got stuck in mud and water, etc. I now have a TRUE appreciation for the power of a flash flood. Mother Nature always wins.

Just moved to the DC area and this was taken on my first outing.

Sweet. Getting the balance of nice light on the columns and still retaining some color in the sky is a nice trick.
