The Good Guys Hot Rod Nationals Southeast was in town this weekend. I did not get to the show but I have seen a bunch of great old cars around town. I found this one near home and the onwer was nice enough to let me shoot it!!

I have recently been reading reviews and comments on the 60D and one post I found on a macro forum did make me think again about upgrading to this camera.

The person said that when he used live view for macro shots, he found the screen would vibrate and become quite noisy whilst focusing, resulting in out of focus photographs. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I use LV for a large part of my photography when using manual lenses on my 450D and have never had a problem like this.

Personally I have not seen that on my 60D but I have only had it a couple months and have not tried Macro shots with the LV. I wonder if that was only when shooting Macros. Hrm, going to dig out a macro lens and try it.

I shot a few macros with the 100mm 2.8 USM in LV... no problems at all, and certainly not any vibrating screens or noise. That person did something wrong or had a bad macro lens... oh and macro should ALWAYS be shot with MF.

These are nice pictures. I did notice what may be lens aberration in the second one though. Note the curvature of the bottommost row of bricks. Is this a desired effect, a normal occurrence or a technical issue?

I'm new to this, so please don't interpret my question as criticism.

The only time I have seen 'vibration' on my LCD screen is when I have my 150-500 lens on my camera zoomed in at 500mm on the moon, camera/lens mounted on the tripod (lens mount to the tripod) and zoom the lcd screen in to try to manually focus better. I do see camera shake at that time.
