It was used in a strange film called "Rainbow Bridge" that had Jimi Hendrix in a few scenes along with him playing a concert on the hill above Seabury Hall on 30 July 1970.

Yeah that's normal. I got the same flare in this shot. Maybe not as many rainbow dots as you, but it still did somewhat of the same thing:

Cool yea when the sun is in it like that and not in the extreme corner its like that but extreme corner made it like how it was in the picture i posted

I need some help with softness issues I'm having with my 24-70 2.8L USM purchased about a year ago. Today I was performing the micro adjust procedure but also noticed that there is significant focus "hunt". The two images below were captured back to back. This is on a tripod about 10 feet from the subject, 100% crop, center focus point, f/2.8 at 51mm.

Why so much focus lock difference? Can't be normal. Suggestions?

I noticed my photos on this lens were soft after about a year, too, and sent it to Canon for adjustment (lens only). When it came back it was night and day difference.
