I like your image too, but the edit works as well. Don't you find that prints usually end up darker than how the image looks on screen? Is this the case with this print?

No my prints are about the same as my monitor. Obviously, they're not backlit but the highlight tones match almost exactly. The blacks are a bit deeper than my monitor but I only see it in mages that have close black tones that are barely distinguishable on the screen

What do ye guys make of adding borders to photos (for online display/facebook, or for online shop/website selling)?

(Obviously not on prints). This kinda thing;

^ Watch out for hair bands on your subject's wrist... (just a pet peeve of mine).

Great to see several new contributors here on the same same page. Nice work!

great work as usual Jay!

I just noticed your logo, did you do it yourself? Im in the process of designing a new logo and its harder than I remember. :D

Sorry it took so long to respond...been a really busy weekend! But yes I dis it myself. Nothing fancy, nothing too hard. Just combining elements and the right font to get what I wanted.

And thanks to everyone for the compliments.....parents were pleased...they said it was worth the 8 hour drive for the session with us!

Thanks, Its weird that I didn't notice that, and even weirder that she never had her hair up so maybe it was a bracelet? Just one more thing to pay attention to in the future :)

QUOTED IMAGE

Jere, I like this image but it looks kinda bleh. Did you do a good bit of recovery slider on it? Sometimes too much gives a look like this. Here is an edit from this image though I still cant bring the skin highlights back.
