Just got back home from a 5 day trip to China, was hoping to see the famous sea of clouds and the awesome sunrises/sets, but not much luck as the weather didn't cooperate

Its a brilliant place, the scenery is amazing, but it is severely let down by overcrowding. It is more crowded than some shopping malls I've been to.

First day cloudy grey skies, didn't really take any good shots, no sunset to speak of.

Second day, woke up at 4am hoping to get a good spot for sunrise before the crowds got there, succeeded in getting the spot, but no sunrise as such due to heavy fog, no sunset either, hiked all day, legs almost falling off by the end of it due to the endless stairs:

Third day the air cleared up some, but sunrise not as spectacular as I'd hoped for, very nice nontheless. However, was unable to move around and take shots from different perspectives, as I was on a sort of rocky outcrop at the edge of a cliff, and behind me were about 60 people blocking the way:

Thanks! China is very... different. Lot of things to like about it, and quite a few that aren't so likeable. Its worth a trip just to experience it though.

You certainly made the best of what the weather would allow. The fifth one is especially nice.
