Yes! Those came out great for me this year. The sun was to the right this time and I got way better results with the 70-200.

It has been a long time since I went to an Air Show….and I have never shot one before. Pretty decent learning curve. I am culling and figuring out what to edit. I shot almost 2k shots in RAW and have roughly 49 pared out right now.

I'm pretty happy with them. I shot just about 3000 pictures. Granted a lot of them were 7 shot bursts to get the shots I needed, but I got them:cool:

This is ONLY my third air show ( I think ) so I have improved over the last two, mainly because I come in here and see what people are using for settings. I noticed the prop blur is the hardest part, without making the whole image wasted. I do RAW+jpg myself and nearly filled up three 32gig CF cards in my 7D.

All photos were with the 100-400L and 70-200 2.8 V2 with IS on both.


Your website has a great layout and your stuff is top notch. Those are certainly prime lens shots! Looking forward to your stuff being posted.

Thanks for the compliments. I couldn't have been given better shooting conditions for this air show. I will likely hit the Corpus or Dallas show next year and crossing fingers for similar results!
