Great shots Adam,3 thumbs up;). We've got some Bracken fern to check out tomorrow. Fingers and toes crossed. I love the lighting on these shots, what sort of flash/diffuser are you using?

Got stuff ;)

Thanks Cookiejay,Mike,
Mat,
I have a yongnuo 565EX on an L bracket and some other adustable brackets so i get the Flash head closer to the end of my lens, and a very sophisticated CANON white lens cleaning cloth wrapped around the Flash head as a diffuser,LOL.
definatley check out the Bracken Fern,
all 4x locations that are up to 100k apart all have Bracken fern (forget what i said earlier about the eucalyptus trees) as todays site had all sorts ,
the females tend to sit on bent over bits about 100mm of the leaf litter and the males are constantly on the move searching for the females.
I tend to find the females 1st then start looking within a 2-3m radius of her.
The males tend to stop and will raise one of their 3rd legs and wave it about as some kind of sign,
this gets the females attention and once he spots her he will hurry to within 300mm and start his dance,I noticed today the Females will sometimes stand up tall on all legs and constantly raise and lower her abdomen in a slow rythmic kinda way(dont know if this is her sign that she is impressed or not) other times she will turn around and plain ignore him, or charge him and scare him away.
Another note,
all 4x sites that i have found them at are within 1- 2k from the coast !
Dunno if you are close to the coast or not.
best of luck

Adam....
