what is the Canon service bill on something like that? That is a heck of a deal, and the lens I keep looking out for...

$340. The lens was well-used by a retired pro but I'll take a beat up lens for $600 total.

if it works, who cares what it looks like right? Not a bad deal at all for a stellar lens.

This was from an independent shop.

Yah. I thought so because Canon has fix 3 categories of flat rate charge, non at that high level. It always worth to check with them first because after all there is a reason Canon has such a good reputation.

I just got a "ProMaster 19-35mm f/3.5 - 4.5" for $55 plus $8 shipping.

Is this a good deal? Is it the same optic quality as the Tamron or Tokina 19-35?

It's got autofocus...

Seems like a good deal - others are going for about $120.

Ah well - I needed something to satisfy my wide-angle craving until Christmas, and $55 isn't too much of a dent in the bank compared to $600 :P

And I guess I can always re-sell it for twice what I bought it for :)

Mamiya RZ sekor Z 90mm f3.5 W for 50 bucks...

Gonna have to spend a LOT more to get much sharper than that in 35mm land!

Not a killer deal but still ok. I got a 75-300mm III today and a rear lens cap and body cap for $50. I've heard bad things about this lens ut still pretty good.

Haha, I knew that comment was coming. Yeah, without the IS it's hard to use and the quality isn't that high but hey, It'll fetch a few bucks over what I paid for it. The funny thing is, I really just wanted the rear cap and body cap that they threw in. The lens was a bonus.

17-40L for $400. It's waiting for me on layaway. Early Christmas present to myself. Thing is immaculate and works perfect.
