coming from a 24-70 that i have used for 3 years to the 17-40L i'm not sure i will need the extra wide mm's - as i am processing most of these photos i'm noticing that i shoot a lot of my photos above 24mm. as far as the lens, stopped down on my pod at f/16 its sharp enough to cut. im still on the fence with this lens, it is great and sharp. and its the same filter size as my 24-70. i am also looking into the "Lee" filter system.

Thanks. You took some great ones as well. I spent this past Saturday and Sunday driving all over the park. Unfortunately it rained most of the day Sunday so I didn't get that many shots.
