Is it just me, or do the price of lenses/gear seem to be coming down significantly across the board?

I'm too new to know if its just because its fall/winter or due to something else.

Any thoughts?

my visa and amex say what your visa says

I though it was courtesy Canon MAP, which seems the second MAP pain after iOS6

--------------- Canon T2i + 18-55 kit + 55-250 + 50 f/1.8 = my basic gear

Hmm don't think they are coming down very much and some in-fact think they have risen since the Canon price implementation.

Some stuff reflects slightly lower prices. I'm hoping prices go even lower during the holidays like last year.

I always thought Canon stuff was cheaper when I owned a Nikon. Now that I own a Canon, Nikon gear seems cheaper now. Lol.

Stuff are just hard to move nowadays. Back then, I have no problems selling a 24LII (UY) for $1300-$1350.00. Now it took me almost 2 weeks to sell it for $1250.00. 5DM2 (refurbished) with about 600 clicks and it took me about 2 weeks as well to sell it for $1425.00.

Tough economy or just over saturation of items.

Mind if I asked where you sold it? I have a T1i and a T2i both with two kit lenses I want to sell. Trying to decide here, eBay, or both. I have no selling history so I'm not sure what route to take.

I would say try here first then ebay. There's a lot more people here looking for gear and willing to pay a decent amount initially. eBay, most people are looking for a bargain. Even though you have no feedback, you have to start somewhere.

Here or sign up for Fred Miranda. You have to pay a fee to sell but free to buy. Not worth it to sell on eBay once they hit you with fees and PayPal fees.

Yeah. I think its both. Plus Christmas Holiday and Black Friday are coming up. A lot of people have other priorities and maybe saving for something else.

Ebay. I don't like using them but if you like to sell stuff EBAY may be your second option.
