After seeing the Snowy in JAC Wagon's Snowy thread aboard the cruise ship inspired me to dig through some of my old Snowy pics, couple from 2009 reprocessed.

Very cool shots. You seem to get the best luck with these guys. Owls around here are never ever sitting out in the day time like this.

Thank you much, It was great I was slowly walking over to find the Owl and then it popped its head up when it heard me crunching the snow ,but as you can see they don't have much fear of humans at least this one didn't .

Thank you Ian . I am sure you will get some in your neck of the woods , There are already reports of them showing up in Wisconsin.So perhaps another great "Snowy" Winter.
