We're you there Saturday or Sunday? I was in the photo pit on Sunday.

I was there SAT and SUN. I always go to both days of the air shows.

I was just to the left of it with the rest of the crowd up on the fence line.

I've always had good luck in the general crowd areas.

I struck gold in the BudLight booth on Saturday... right on the fence on the runway. Had my seats out and brother in law had an unlimited tap provided by Bud Light.

First time for me to shoot an air show and I shot JPEG only (not my normal) to make sure i didn't hit buffer limits on the 5d3. I struggled to get good prop blur without shaking the image. I used the 5d3 and a 70-200II with a 2xIII. I sent the 2xIII back and will probably pick up a 100-400.

I have not had time to go through the almost 2k images because I just got back from SEMA in vegas from shooting another 2k images.

It never ends.

Great shots, again

What I did this year was I used the 100-400 on SAT because we didnt make it up close to the fence, and I got great results with it because of how bright it was.

SUN we got there and got a spot on the fence line and I used the 70-200 most of the time.

I always run raw+jpg and dont have any trouble with the 7D, but it's a bit faster in shutter FPS than the 5D. For the cross-up shots where they come from opposite ends of the runway, I usually pick the right plane because with my left eye open I can see the left plane. With that technique, I usually wont hit the shutter button too fast, where it starts to fill the buffer up too soon.

Post yours up when you get some reviewed.
