could this just be smug mugs way of weeding out the people who own pro accounts but dont sell much or anything? I mean, If I were clocking like $300.00 a month in sales there, id pay the extra $$$ but.. honestly, what i mde in sales there, if the reason was weeding out non sellers, id just leave with my head hung low in shame...lol

If you were clocking in 300$/mo in sales, you'd already be paying them 45$/mo x12 = 540$ + 300$
---------------
840$/yr

Its a fair bit of money, does SM do enough to justify that kind of cost, Yearly?

I dont know I guess it all depends on the Person using the site. I know I cant justify the new increase.. no way.

BUt, maybe for alot of photographers, not having to deal with any of the order taking, printing, shipping, billing, and all that other stuff like credit card fees and such, might think its worth it. But for those who dont mind all the extra time spent on the above, $840.00 is a whole lot of $$ to put out per year... I wonder what is Smug mugs profit is on just the printing / shipping alone without the yearly membership fees?

It would depend on the person and his/her business, each one will have to justify it in their own way. As for myself, I can't even think about justifying it until I start making more from sales. If I made double what I make now, I could justify doubling the fees.

I did end up getting the Paypal Here card reader for when I am dealing with a client on certain events.
