The pics look great overall.

For the pho pics (5,6), have you thought about softening the reflections a bit using a polarizer or other means?

I didn't think about that before, I have a circular polarizer but that usually stays on my wider lens, I'll have to try it next time we take go and shoot.

Something always put you off as usual:

After some as bad as you can get airplane foods from Ethiopian Airlines as above, we finally got some decent foods from Thai Airway:

QUOTED IMAGE

I am so going to try my hand at making this. Though the white plate is getting a bit lost in the white background I think?

It's not a white background - it's actually a bowl with a wide rim so the bowl fills the image.

I know what you mean though - it does look like there's no end to the white. There were a couple of shots where I pulled back a little and you can see the bowl in context (against a wooden background) but I liked the detail of the close-up shot.

Thanks for your comments - good luck with the dish - it would also work with a beef consomme I would imagine.

Excellent - will be posting a new recipe this weekend.

Also - I'm considering adding video to the site. Going to try a test video and see what the response is.

Anyone in the LA area ever been to Bottega Louie? This place is amazing.

These were their portabello mushroom fries with cilantro alioli on the side.

hey man! the bar was pretty dark so i was shooting wide open hence the softness... also my friends were really hungry and wanted to eat so i didn't have much time to take a better photo haha, sorry >_<

u can kinda see how dark the restaurant was in the below pic, as a courtesy i turned off my flash so not to blind the patrons eating their dinners XD
