Say I want it to hang waist level.. It has an adjustment on the back part of the strap so you can fine tune how tight it gets chinched in and where it sets when you let it out. Regular should be fine for you. Cameras: 7D2, S100

I haven't used it yet but I did try it out on the camera. I have to 'cinch' up the webbing straps as short as they can get for it to sit right. Even then when I bring the camera up to my eye and cinch it tight to help stablize it's not quite tight enough.

It would be really good to know how much smaller the regular one is compared to the Big. I don't want to ask for an exchange only to find out that the regular is too small for my...ahem....portly figure. I guess I should just email Luma and ask. If I know how much shorter it is then I could try folding over the center section of mine to see how the regular would fit. I assume that's where most of the difference in length is. I agree, and email or PM to gakoenig (owner of Luma Labs) would be the thing to do. Charles

Nov 09, 2012 15:00 | #247 I received one about a month ago. Placed an order for a second a week ago. (BTW 6'1", 200 lbs-regular works)

I think the Regular is probably a better fit for me if the length difference isn't substantial. I'd hate to switch to the Regular and go to the other extreme, where I'm extending it all the way out to have it fit and not be too tight around my torso.

For a few batches, we couldn't find any 3/4" webbing from any of our supply sources, so we used 1" medium weight webbing. We designed the pull-tab for 1" webbing, but found that the 3/4" looked a bit nicer. Unfortunately, 3/4" can be flakey on availability. The width doesn't matter so much in this instance though - it is the thickness. Most of the webbing we use at Luma is a soft woven heavy duty webbing that is about 2.5mm thick. The web we use to attach the pull-tab is only 1.5mm thick, but has a denser weave. This is important as it keeps the pull-tab bits from jamming against the main webbing, so the slide adjuster can move freely. In the beginning of October, we were low on 3/4" pull-tab connector webbing and we had an order in for more. Apparently, someone at our contract sewer took it upon themselves to grab a roll of heavy duty 3/4" webbing from our prototype materials and get a few Cinches out-the-door... FYI to anyone in contract manufacturing; this is a *really* good way to lose a major client. This shop has been sewing all our product since the original Loop. We pay them a fairly substantial premium for attention to detail, and they have been slipping over the last few months. Given that Luma is just two guys, we need suppliers we can trust not to make hugely embarrassing problems for us (like this). Thanks to Luma Labs, I received the replacement strap today with thinner webbing, it works a treat. 1Dx, 1DM4, 5DM2, 7D, EOS-M, 8-15L, 17-40L, 24 TSE II, 24-105L, 50L, 85L II, 100L, 135L, 200L f/2.8, 300L f/4, 70-200L II, 70-300L, 400Lf/5.6
