I've owned around 200 scopes over the last 35 years. Here is a 12.5" F/8 Newt i built back in 1990. Sorry, but this is a pic of a pic.

Here are a few older Orange Celestron SCT's i had back around 1998. C5, C10, C11 and a C14.

My new toy for most recent images. I'd sleep with it if my wife would allow it. :D

Did have. I am fresh out of scopes at this time. Never did get into astrophoto work other than some afocal shots of the moon with 35mm film. I spent most of my time viewing planets. Nothing like seeing jupiter or saturn at 1100x on a nite of 9+ seeing with a 14.5" or bigger scope.
Here is a 8" F/8 Newt i built back in 1989.

How was the view with this Celestron Dob ? I tried to get one of those when Celestron sold out but had no luck :( . I know Celestron always had good optics but never viewed from a dob of celestrons .

Sold the scope a while back and it was the last 160/7 TEC fluorite ever made. Not enough clear skies in the Chicago area. But, I did have some other fun with it. C300, TEC160FL. :)
