Thanks everybody! These two have a really special relationship and consider each other brothers. The smiles they elicit from each other is absolutely beautiful, and those of you who have children with Autism know what I mean. Those connections are INCREDIBLY rare for our kids.

Next year will be very tough on both of them when Marc goes to college as it's out of state!

Nicely done! And let your son know that he has a good taste in athletic snacks, the carbs and salt in pretzels do wonder for performance :) (really though, no sarcasm!!! :) )

hehehe ;) the child LOVES salty/crunchy textures - that's his thing. Suffice it to say when we found out Marc also likes pretzels, we now pack 2 baggies ;)

These are 2 images from the Wicked 10K race the guys did here in VA Beach this past weekend before Hurricane Sandy came through. VERY WINDY and sand was blowing everywhere that day but it was a lot of fun! these two make an awesome team!

Thank You! My boy LOVES Super Heros so when team hoyt VB decided the theme for the race would be super heros or movie characters, my boy picked Captain America (his favorite super hero). :) Those glasses were HILARIOUS and not a part of the costume (was just a toy item I found at the store) but I had to get them ;) He might be 13 but he had a blast dressing up!

Thank you for sharing. I believe the photographs always get the third dimension when there is a great story attached.

Thank You! I need to start getting a book assembled for my son with all the pictures from the race these two have done together, but I'm trying to wait until next year when they've done more (they've got anywheres from 4-8 or 9 more races they can do together before Marc goes off to college - number depending on when/where the race is and whether Marc is available due to his own obligations).

No pictures attached to this post but Ashton made a short video clip to tell Marc good luck at his X-Country states meet this past friday. Well, that good luck must have worked - Marc placed FIFTH out of 35 schools (many schools having 10-15 runners per schools!).

He then sent a reply video back to Ashton showing him his medal and saying he won it for him :)

Sooo sweet!!

This is an awesome story. I'm so thankful for the people that have shown kindness to my daughter, especially the kids.

It gives me hope for our future when KIDS can show kindness to those that are "different" (or, as Marc has come to realize, they're exactly the same, they just have challenges that make them INCREDIBLE people!)
