Here's a few from d800 and 24-70mm...

Wahclella Falls...was quite cold out, but I brought a towel and some sandals along on the hike. Put on the sandals and waded out into the freezing water to get a shot from a different perspective than you normally see, lol. Brrrr, my knees were freeeeezing.

I would think both cameras would yield exceptionally high quality shots, and if there is a benefit outside of MPs, it would be pretty small. I am guessing that price and ergonomics (as well as size/weight) would be more important decision criteria???

I think the image produced is the most important thing.

Anyone have the Voigtlander 28mm f/2.8 Color Skopar SL II for the Nikon mount?

Most primes should be “almost too sharp” at 2.8 I want to use it at 1.8 since I have the 70-200VRII

Nah. Not worth the money for me. The plate for it is more than enough, especially with two screws. Should never come lose

Ok so im going bonkers... the first time ever I have had to micro adjust or Fine Tune as Nikon calls it... and its my 500mm Sigma (Surprise, surprise....) anyway... i get it really good at 4.5 at about 4-6 meters before it was cracking at 5.6 on all meters but sucked on 4.5. now when i focus beyond 6-10 meters it looses even at 5.6 .... dooooohhhhhh is there a way of registering the same lens at different focals??

im really really happy..........

Pixel battery grip ordered. Also a 32GB SDHC card to match my compact flash card. I'll just rock both cards at all times.

No unfortunately not. Maybe the upcoming Sigma USB dongle will support the 500mm Sigma? Maybe not, though. Sigma's service is MUCH improved, so what might be worth doing is, take a whole bunch of pictures, showing what happens, print them or put on cd along with nice written explanation, and send to Sigma. Meh.

I use a card reader, so I feel better about removing and re-inserting the sd all the time, as well (no pins). I don't get the SD hate. Now on the 5d3 we always use the CF card as the SD slot on it is slower than molasses lol.

Yes quite surprised emailed Sweden (sigma) and got a reply within the hour... probably needs calibartion if i cant find a sweet spot between -20 and -15. Between that somewhere it should be... just such a hassle .... already bored to death

I just don't see why CF cards are 3x more expensive than SD...

At these prices, I'll opted to buy more SD cards than CF. Luckily I got the 32GB CF for free when I ordered my camera. Otherwise it would have been an additional $98!

Less demand, low production run and thus higher manufacture cost!
How many consumer device use CF card nowadays? We are the 1%!!
