Thanks for the link Clarence. So the eneloop gives enough juice to make the flash recycle faster? Is one eneloop used, or one for each unit?
Eneloops are just rechargeable 1.2v NiMH AA's. Nothing magical. If your flash uses 4 AA's, you use 4 eneloops.

You ARE firing all three lights at once right? Does anyone here use a flash extender?
Yes, all 3 speedlites fire at once. The second speedlite gives me an extra stop of power (doubles the available light output). I'd need a 4th flash to double it again. Plus the PocketWizard FlexTT5 optimizes the hypersync pulse and gives 1.68 stops more output than standard HSS. So the rig is giving me a lot of light, but each speedlite is working less, so they recycle quickly. I don't do a lot of rapid fire shots, usually just a double tap, but this rig lets me do 6 consecutive shots before the flashes slow down.
I've used a better beamer at a game several years ago. (I'll let you finally practice your POTN Search skills if you're interested in seeing the results.) Bottom line, it works. Works with HSS. Works with ETTL. But since I like to shoot tight, I've found that the flash range works fine when the action is close enough. WIth a better beamer, you're narrowing the amount of area that gets light... this makes the flashed look even more evident... very dark ambient surroundings, but very bright subject. My preference is towards balanced ambient and subject lighting.
But all of this has been covered elesewhere, so search out those other discussion threads and let's get back to pictures here.
