Hello everyone, here are a few more of my visit with this beautiful Hawk. Everything about him, (Tom?) is just beautiful. I consider myself very lucky to get what I did from a wild, un-banded Hawk, very lucky. here are some cool looks from a day that will be long remembered.....

With the 5D, weird light but beautiful

He was making a lot of noise early, there was another off a bit returning the calls, this is when he was speaking, not a yawn, lol

Who the Man...He obviously knew where I was and would keep an eye on me quite a bit, never left though. I was out three times I think and left him alone for a long while, didn't know if some thing was wrong with him, very unusual

Very good time I had, amazing being able to sit very close and not scare him, (Tom?, lol)
just to sit and watch on a nice day

1DX, 400/f2.8 and other Canon gear
The shadow of a feather is one of the goals

Holy smoke, Bret, are you sure this isn't your own personal trained hawk? What a series of shots! What do you do to attract such beautiful creatures? bw! (My faves are the two with his mouth open ;) )

Bret, please stop posting these wonderful images, it's giving us false hope that we'll have the same luck :D. Joking aside, these stands tall with the rest of excellent raptor images I've seen. I won't be surprised if you later post another excellent set of this coop.

Bret, these are some kind of wonderful!! The bird looks healthy to me, just very relaxed and at ease. I think it must be you! :) Beautiful captures my friend.
