Nothing to write home about as far as composition but I finally got those red eyes in the light. This guy was stalking some juncos

No controversy going on here, the outer two tail feathers are shorter than the others giving it the coops round tail, if it were a sharpy, the outer two tail feathers would be just as long as the rest, giving it the sharpies square tail. A controversy can only exist if there is a question of it's ID, in this case, there is no question. ;)

Thanks Peregrine for the clarification regarding the tail feathers. We've got Sharps and Coopers here. I will have to pay more attention to the tails :D

They do have the coolest eyes, they can get so intense when they are really on the hunt, scary intense. Great job!
