More by luck than judgement. :)

At some other locations, I'd been using my EF 28mm with a polariser on and I'd had terrible results. Many blurred and wasted shots. I was just playing around with the 50mm whilst waiting for my wife to finish her shopping. I thought I'd try a very shallow dof and hopefully minimize the movement I'd experienced with some other shots.

I ran the image through PS, cropped slightly, duplicated and used filter/other/high pass to make it appear sharper. Played around with other settings to get the colour etc how I wanted it. The original image doesn't look anywhere near as clean.

Baby girl is doing good. She's 830 grams/1 lbs. 13 oz. Yesterday she was 29 weeks gestational age and on Sunday, Nov. 11, she made one month old!
