B & W kitty stopped by for some sardines, turkey, etc., today. He was healthy looking to begin with. Now the super foods seem to have him even more healthy. 10D with 50mm 1.8

I like the first shot with the full body, glad the kitties are getting along!! They are gorgeous!!

mike1812 wrote in post #15241157 (external link)
I prefer the 5th. It's got a bit more of her body in it, giving the sense of "looking up". whereas #4 to me could be shot at any angle and doesn't really give the perspective that 5 does. Also, #4 has a very shallow DOF with eyes in focus but nose/mouth blurry. Frankly, I like #3 the best, if it were cropped to exclude the kitten (simply b/c o/o/f).

Thanks for the feedback. Yes you can't really tell what that blurry cat is in the 3rd picture.

Hmm......getting along... Haha.. Well our big cat took over 2 weeks to finally stop hissing whenever the little one got close... The little one made herself at home immediately from day 1, and acted like everything belonged to her! She is soo ridiculously playful and entertained by every little thing... She literally does flips.. And is chewing up everything in the house.... My wife's MacBook charging cable got chewed on and stopped working....that was an expensive replacement :(

What can I do to stop making her chew on cables? I'm also worried about electric shock... She's absolutely torn up the twine scratching pole down to the inner styrofoam that was fine before she got her paws on it. What's sad/funny is that neither of the cats use the expensive sun lounger infinity shaped scratcher/lounger....they just play or lay on it.

Now, mio, our older cat is much more tolerant of toro....but the problem is that toro keeps on attacking mio...like going for her throat! Mio gets mad but I don't think she hates toro--just wishes she'd stop bothering her. Toro even jabs a Mio when she's using the litter box.. I'll post a video that is a hilarious cat fight between them... Maybe you guys can interpret if its really serious or not. So many times mio pushes on toros head because she has the longer reach.

They both chase each other around, which I hear is a good thing...but toro chases mio much much more and it almost always ends in a snarling/hissing mio and a jab fest.

Both of them try to sneakily eat each other's food even though we've made clear to them that its not okay!....we have to keep close watch..

They both use the same litterbox. Toro still sleeps in the bathroom because she had several accidents on our bed blanket.............. And seat cushion... Maybe it was on purpose. I think she's almost ready to sleep on our bed with us though..

I feel kinda bad for mio because, although she's probably less bored now, she constantly has to watch her back for toros attacks..

I sometimes put toro next to mio when she's resting and she has been tolerant mostly, except for when toro started chewing on her ear or tail!

Sorry for the bad typing--I'm on an iPad

It takes a while for them to get used to each other, keeping them apart on purpose at times is a good thing, makes them want the other. For us, our older cat was about 3 when we got the younger one as a kitten, but we kept them apart for a couple weeks where they could only sniff at each other under the door. There was never any hissing or snarling, but Robbie was a very mellow kitten. He loved to play, but preferred to snuggle.

Nice portrait, I wish I could figure out how to get a decent photo of my cats (maybe wait until they're sleepy, or get them stoned on catnip?)

I'm betting Meli can sense that Cookies and Cream is ill, and that is probably why she is being nice to her.

Agreed.
