The five listed below. I really want the 35mm f1.4L but just can't seem to talk myself into it. The 24-70 Mk II has hardly come off since I purchased it.

2 for me:

70-200 2.8L IS II
35L

probably 1 more this year to replace my 15-85, either the 24-70 2.8 or the 24-70 f4 IS if it's available not sure which one yet. Still saving for the 400 2.8 but that will take a least a couple of years. :D

Used to have 2, a 100-400 and 70-200 Mk1.
But now just the 1; moved to a Sigma 120-300 and 70-200 MkII set up.

Well and the white 1.4x and 2x TCs.

I have 2, 70-200 2.8 (non-is) and a recently acquired 24L mk2. With a 15-85 for a whatever lens, but I'm sure that's bound to change, I really like what I'm getting with the 24L. Maybe sell my 15-85 down the road for another prime.

I've found this kind of topic on a lot of different forums and websites over the years. They seem to be therapeutic in a way. Generally, people LOVE to talk about themselves, but it's not normal to go about shouting about your shiny new L lens to people on the bus. (Showing photos of your newborn is though, apparently )

Notice how few replies to replies there are in this thread. But it doesn't matter. It's a hugely popular thread and will continue to be. It's like a big empty room... people walk in, mention that they have a really nice lawn, then leave. They feel better since they spent so much time cutting the darn thing and SOMEONE needed to know about it. But that's just my opinion.

Did I mention that I own 3?

THIS THREAD IS AWESOME! I ONLY OWN ONE L LENS NOW THAT I JUST SOLD ONE!

That reminds me to remove the 400/5.6L from my list.

It makes me think of the Simpsons joke: you know Homer the way to cheat in golf is to lower your score ...

Some people like a race to the top of how much they've spent, I'm quite happy to race to the bottom!

Just purchased my first L lens... 70-200 f4 IS...

I didn't expect it would be this one - I had my eye on a 100-400mm, but this one popped up and the price was right!

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.
