Nice, great choice of background for the white bike. It fits very well and the DoF is nearly perfect.

Hehe, thank you everybody. This was my first time shooting a bike so I didn't really know what positions to place the bike, or what to expect really.

Nice shots!
Just sold my fully tricked out white 848 (Termis, gearing change, big brakes, and plenty of CF!) Just no time to ride:(
I will have a bike again though so not all is lost!
Ride it like you stole it...but keep the shiny side up!

Is that you I see in #2? ; )
#1 is well executed, & except for the framing, is a nice "For Sale" shot showing all the details clearly against a background that doesn't take much attention away from the bike.
But I don't see anything exciting there... anything that makes me think, "Damn, I've gotta' have one of those!"
I don't see any mystery, no "essence of bike" that makes me want to see more. Lighting makes the difference, & you had it in the 4th shot here.

The light on JMS803's shot is closer to what I'm thinking of: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=878686

big_d has it here. but of course the red color helps the shot. What I'm thinking of is the reflections from the sky in the paint.

Dare's first shot here might be a better example: My new Bike!

Edit: Not quite there, but it's white & more like the "essence of bike" feeling that I'm thinking of: https://photography-on-the.net …?p=14659754&postcount=169

Thanks for the heads up Frank. I'm liking the shots in that last link.

yipDog Studios- Sick, any pics of it when you owned it? :D I'm just starting to get into bikes and i'm just curious as to what those mods look like compared to stock.

Killer bike and great photos.

The fog or smoke was a bit distracting to me, though...I spent more time looking at that trying to figure out if my eyes were buggy or if I really was seeing some sort of smoke or fog. Maybe I just have A.D.D....

Well, now I'm curious. Was it added during PP or did you do something to get that effect during the shoot?

It's not that I don't like the smoke/fog, I actually think it looks friggin' awesome...and it could make a really neat effect for the right photo. I was just (obviously) a bit distracted by it for this set...
