I haven't posted here in a while for various reasons, but thought I'd put one up today. This was from a trip to Hawaii about two years ago - first time I'd ever been and can't wait to go back.

C&C is appreciated - but I would humbly ask that others respect that image editing is turned off. (For some reason it just bugs me):lol:

Thanks for looking and for the C&C.

Pretty nice. I don't think it needs the vignetting though.

El Duderino- considering your screen name it's hard not to take your advice. But as you know, "this is a complicated photo - lotta ins and outs and what-have-you's."

It reminds me of how Iao Valley looked when I visited earlier this year. :)

cool pic. its not bad, but would be better without the vignetting.

I appreciate all the comments - especially about the vignette. I'll go back and get rid of it and see how i feel. Thanks so much and please keep the C&C coming!

Ok, here is a copy without the vignette. Is the general consensus that this is better? Thanks again!

It's interesting that people prefer the one without the vignette. After looking at them both, I still prefer the vignette. Anyone else with thoughts?

Personally I like the one WITH the vignette, to me it draws your eye to the center a little. The one without the vignette looks just like a typical photo of Hawaii, the one with looks a little more "mystical" for lack of a better word. By the way, nice shot Michael!

I agree with Michael, the vignetting draws your eye and also makes the image "pop" just a bit more IMHO. Well done!
