Did my first wedding as a pro bono gig for my girlfriend's sister last month. I was supposed to be the secondary photographer, but my photos actually turned out a lot better than the "professional's", so I guess it was good I was there. :)

Anyway, C&C always welcome.

Love #7! Skin looks a little too warm on my monitor though.

Speedlite to the face on #7 would've been siiick. Nice shots overall.

I agree. Though I wasn't using a flash since the other photographer was and the ambient light was very nice (cloudy day). Oh well...

I like them all except #4. I'm not so sure the tilt works in that shot.

Also, I'd like to see some variety in the framing of people. I see a majority of shots cutting people off at the waist, and I think it would be nice to have a few more full body shots and tighter/wider shots as well.

But, all personal preference. Who am I to critique?!?! I think you did an awesome job. Love the sharpness and the color.

nice job, especially for your first attempt! I'd be curious as to what the primary thought about em, haha. I actually like #4, and find it to be your best PJ shot.

I agree there are some things I could have done differently, but overall I was pleased and so were the B&G and that's all that matters, right? :D

Thanks for the comments and suggestions!

Yeah - that's all that matters!!! Good to hear they liked them. I know I would if you did my wedding!

Just brush-in the exposure of the couple a little bit in post, it would make a huge difference. :D

Wow fantastic job catacon. You gotta start charging a fee to cover camera depreciation & especially for your time as photographer. Keep up the great work!

Haha thanks, fiveFPS. I would have charged, but I did it as a favor to my girlfriend's sister (probably future sister-in-law ;-)a). I'm not sure how many more weddings I will be doing anyway
