Saw this back end sticking out of the hedge and then a quick glimpse of his head, the rut has just about started here and he was eyeing up the ladies in the field

Nice Doc. I shot an elk on Sept 1 and a moose on Sept 15. Sadly - no usable pictures.

Is the use of a suppressor required in the UK?

It is not required when you are shooting for yourself, If you are an employee of the forestry commission they are required under our interesting Health & Safety laws. All moderators have to be specified for each rifle on an individuals firearm certificate, but there are no problems getting permission for them.

Never understood why they are not allowed in the USA, they certainly help with noise and recoil, most people use them over here.

It's been awhile since I've checked, but it's nice to see this thread is alive and well.

It's been on my 'to do' list for a long time, but this year it came together; Alaska Caribou.

Flew in to Anchorage, drove to BFE, then a bush flight out. It was everything I expected and more...

Two of us shot three bulls out of one group....five miles from camp. That was, by far, the most brutal and physically demanding hunt I've ever been on. Took 17 hours over two days to get all the meat back to camp. Walking on the tundra is not unlike walking in sand. Worth every second of it:)

Great photos! Nice hunt too. I know what it is like to drive to BFE.
