Cheers...

Most are taken around town, or home with the exception of the second post (first 3 of the last 4) taken in:

1)Palmerston North cemetery
2)Tongariro National park (Desert road)
3)Rotorua (2m from our hotel room back door)

Another 2 from Rotorua...

wow those are amazing!

Here is a little something from tonight, it was very cold since it's on the water and the wind was blowing this time around, I took this one with the Canon 10D with the 28-135 mm IS lens

Not bad, but this time around I knew 100% where to look and I had fun minus the cold!

This last one was 30 min 28 sec F.11 Not happy how it turned out, it's not dark enough so when I get a bit better I will be moving to another location.

With the 70-300 @300 on a motorized mount. A scope would have been much less expensive, but not as versatile.

Total solar eclipse, November 14, 2012. As seen from Mulligan Highway, north-west of Port Douglas, Far North Queensland.

Taken with a Fuji X100, handheld. :)
