Two. Trying to sell one (17-40) and pick up another, though.

I have

the
24L II 1.4
35L 1.4
50L 1.2
135L 2.0

That's a pretty ideal collection. Not to mention your cameras.

I personally have one. The 24L II. It was a gift from my girlfriend and I don't think I warrant an expensive lens like this.

Just two for now the 135L and 24-105L. I may upgrade my 50 1.4 to the 50L, but I seriously doubt it. L lenses are addictive and way too expensive for the average hobbyist like myself.

Just received my first yesterday, 70-200mm f/4 IS. I have rented the 24-105, not impressed, rented the 100Macro, impressed and borrowed a friends 70-200 f2.8 and was impressed. After a few shots with the f/4 I'm most :)

@slickooz I have the same lineup as you are considering (35,85,135) and I never miss the 50. If I reallly need it, there's always my nifty. But that hasn't happened yet.

So do the swap as soon as you can. The 35 is a lot of fun indoors.

Not enough from a photographer's viewpoint, and too many from my bank manager's point of view.

My lineup is a revolving door. Currently :

17-40L - Landscape
24-70 f2.8L mkI - landscape, portrait, general use
135L - portrait
100-400L - bought this today. Was going to rent it but I figure ill just sell it in 6 months or so.

I'll probably keep the 17-40 and 24-70. Haven't really seen any limitations in my 17-40 but I suppose I could try out one of the 16-35's one day. And maybe someday the 24-70ii but not soon.

This is my second go-round with the 135 and I'm determined to teach myself how to love using it.

Still looking for a telephoto option. 70-200f4L seems good for landscape because its small and light for hiking and cheap. Had the 70-200 f2.8 mkII but it was just too much lens for me. Loved it but couldn't justify a lens costing more than my car and being too heavy to take hiking.

5D2 - 24-70 f2.8L - 50 1.4 - S100
