Just noticed this yesterday for the first time. BH has some kind of new 2% reward system giving you 2% cash back in a form of store credit for future purchase. It is added only to some of the products like this Canon 5D mark III: http://www.bhphotovide …&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ta (external link)

here are some details:

To Receive Your Rewards:
Purchase any eligible product and receive the specified percentage back in Rewards points (Currently not available with Google Wallet). The percentage is calculated based on the price you pay for the eligible merchandise; tax, shipping & handling and any other fees are not eligible for Rewards points. Your order must be placed while you are logged in to your B&H online account. If you fail to do so, Rewards points cannot be applied retroactively.

40 days after shipment, your Rewards points will automatically convert to a promotional code that can be used on any item we sell. You must use the promotional code within six (6) months of the date it is issued.

Your billing and shipping addresses must both be within the United States. If you return an item for any reason the Rewards points will be voided. We reserve the right to modify or cancel this program at any time without prior notice.

Terms and Conditions
The B&H Rewards Program ("Program") applies only to products listed as participating in this Program on the B&H Foto & Electronics Corp. ("B&H") website ("Qualifying Products").
Customers purchasing Qualifying Products will receive points equal to the percentage of the purchase price ("Rewards").
Forty (40) days after shipping of a Qualifying Product (the "Issue Date"), Rewards will automatically convert to a promotional code eligible to be used as a credit on future purchases from B&H.
Customers must be logged in to their consumer account on the B&H website, (external link) , to participate in this Program. Purchases through accounts on the B&H Federal/GSA, Government, Education, Corporate and Students or Educators web portals, are not eligible for this Program.
Customers with international shipping or billing addresses are not eligible to participate in this Program.
Promotional codes are only valid for use for six months from their Issue Date.
This Program is valid for a limited time only and B&H may cancel or modify it at any time.
Rewards or promotional codes cannot be converted to cash, either directly or indirectly, and may not be transferred or sold.
Qualifying Product purchases which are returned by customers will result in the subtraction of the value of the Rewards or promotional code(s) from the customer's account, or the return, whichever is applicable.
This Program is void where prohibited by law or otherwise and it may not be combined with other offers.
Violation of any of these terms and conditions will result in disqualification from participation in this Program and the invalidation and forfeiture of any Rewards or promotional codes.

also, adorama has some kind of vip thing that just started. supposedly increases your warrantee period on certain items. signed up, but not sure how it works.

Seems like a very clever way to get around Canon's new minimum pricing requirements.

Amazon also has this 2% promo on select electronics. I'm currently waiting on a promo credit for my recent 5D3 purchase!
