The bull was trying to decide between grazing and mating. His female partner was just out of frame.

Thanks! Yeah the 7D is performing much better now. The issue was the lens and the body. Got both fixed, and the results have been much better. Very happy with this camera in brutal weather, and glad I kept it over the 5D II (loved that camera, but IMHO the build is not 7D). I spent part of September and all of October camped in Grand Teton, Glacier, Yellowstone, and the Missoula area. The 7D was a champ.
