I am looking for a shoulder bag for gripped 7d w/70-200 2.8, preferably mounted but doesn't have to be. I ihave been eyeing the crumpler 6mdh but want to know if it will fit what i need. other gear i will carry in the bag is a 50mm 1.4 and a flash... thanks in advance!!

Not sure if you've considered a sling bag, but I purchased a Kata 3in1 30 and have pretty much the same set up. Gripped 7d with 70-200 fits really well. What I like most about the bag is the instant access with added bonus of it being a great support for the elbows while shooting. Highly recommend taking a look at it.

The 6mdh will fit that stuff, even the lens mounted but that's a bit too tight to be practical. The 7mdh is a better fit.

Think Tank Retro 10 or 20 will work and hold a lot more than you list.

Agreed.

I have the 6mdh and a gripped 7d with 70-200 f4 attached can be put in it, but the covering flap has to be looser than intended. It's OK, but leaves the sides gaping a bit, which would be useless in showery weather. The 7mdh is deeper and would be a better fit, although, I believe the 2.8 is physically longer than my f4, so might have to be off-camera ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yDCRv5xV2w (external link)
