Two of the three sisters (North and Middle pictured), taken in Sisters, Oregon.

I started with 25 images, and then narrowed it down to 19 that were needed. I forgot to take two pictures in the upper right of the image, which created chunks if cropped any higher than the upper edge is currently. I wish that there was more sky, as it was quite a pretty evening, but I thought it turned out alright for messing up the shot :)
Enjoy!

Holy crap.. Stunning. How long did it take to shoot? And stitch?

Thanks!

The stitching took roughly three hours as I like to do it by hand without PS assistance, and shooting took about three minutes. The short shooting time was forced by the rapidly changing light.

Very nice.

If I had any critique, it would be nice to see more detail in the trees.

Well done, looks almost 3D. As commented above, would also like to see a little more detail in the foreground trees...

Thanks! I was about to bring some of the trees back but I had already been editing it for over three hours and I was really tired so I just posted it and went to bed :D

I will eventually get around to bringing them back :)

This is incredible! To put my compliment in perspective, I have honestly never seen a panorama style shot that I liked...until now.

Thanks everyone! This was my first try at a telephoto panorama and I hope to do some more of them soon. Previously I have only done wide angle panos. I found that shooting with a telephoto gave me much more detail to work with. The original composite file is over two gigs. :D

Very nice. I'd hang that on MY wall.

To me, the Three Sisters, in winter, is one of the prettiest sites in the world. There's something about it that always grabs me.

Thanks! I totally agree, Three Sisters is just stunning during winter. I hope to go back soon and try for all three in one panorama.
