With plywood for the window, I suspect that train has not been used in decades.

The train is sitting at the end of an unused track. The tracks havent been used in 30 years that I know of although there is a RR maintenance crew building there. I ask the guys if I could take pics and they let me drive out to the train.
There is another engine behind this one but its a diff model and not as interesting.

On a side note. I really like the POTN forums but I don't use Canon (please don't hold it against me)

Please forgive me, I never meant to offend you in anyway. I should have added, I do like the photo very much. My father was a railroader for New Yourk Central retiring from Penn Central. I do enjoy trains a lot.

Bruce, the three engines at the Schellville "cage" maintenance yard are being used for moving various grain hoppers and lumber cars up through Petaluma on a regular basis, along with assisting in hauling supplies up for the rail train that is working its way up to Santa Rosa.

Charles, you didn't say anything to offend me Ive been reading these forums for several months and find them to be one of if not the best on the net. Everyone is helpful and truelly appreciative of others work !

Jollyroger99, yes this train is in Schellville ( I was born in Sonoma but nw live in Vacaville. The tracks on 8th st east stop at the shed but used to go to further north past Napa st.
Im sure you have scene the other cars and engine that are surrounded by the fencing. I know the tracks in Petaluma are used more frequently. I have seen some pics of the inside of this train and am amazed that it can move.
