My wife has been seeing these all over and wanted to try them with our daughter. Here are a couple of my favorites.

I was using the kit lens that came with the T3, I am really hoping to pick up a nifty fifty before Christmas so I can have a wider aperture range.

These were the sharpest out of the bunch because she was having so much fun rolling in the lights lol

It actually took quite a bit of setup. Since I'm by no means a professional I had to nail a fleece banker to the wall and then tacked up the lights in two different rows

Cool pics. Looks like tons of fun, regardless of whether you are a pro or not. :)

I'm sure your family will remember the moments in time. ;)

You're gonna love that nifty fifty. All those lights are going to be bokeh balls :D

That's the hope. I got to play with one at PAX Prime this year when I borrowed it from a friend and really loved the ability to shoot in low light.

To get the most out of the bokeh, move her away from the lights in the background, then get close to her so the background lights are fully out of focus. This was taken with the 50 1.8

I tried something similar last year. Try putting the lights behind the fabric, a pain to set up i remember using nails to get the muslin and lights up but it was worth the effort I was really pleased with the result. I also did it through the day. I have the photo's somewhere...

I actually used fleece blankets for the background so they might be a bit too thick to light through. Tomorrow I will be shooting my inlaws in front of their fireplace so if you have any tips for that, that'd be awesome!
