There's a research park in town that I had never been to, and it turns out it's just lovely in the autumn.

Here are a couple of my first senior shots. We managed to get a yearbook shot out of the same series, which I'll post later on. Critique and thoughts on these are greatly appreciated.

5Dmk1 for all, then...

Nice setting, but pics one and two look fuzzy on my monitor. Seems to need some sharpening of the eyes, perhaps.

Thanks, man. I hadn't even noticed the fists, somehow. Good reminder to see the whole the frame.

Nice series, I like the colors , they are so beautifully Rembrandt-like.

#3 appears to be crisper and works better for me because the face is beautifully lit and does not have hair covering, but I generally like better the composition of #1 and #2. Also #3 appear to have buildings in the background.

#1 is my favorite. I also agree with the location choice. Good job!

Keep on working, It can only get better from here.

Nice shots, #2 is my pick, just a little fuzzy. Looks like a great location.

Thanks, y'all. I forgot to mention that all of these were shot only with available light, though there are some that were taken in the little valley that used a speedlight just sitting in the camera's shoe. That worked pretty well, but hurt the sunset lighting we were going for with these.

Any advice on integration of speedlight with ambient light when the ambient light is so gentle and nice (other than just powering down the flash)?

Again, thanks for the feedback.

I see Emma Watson. Still, love the lighting but #2 looks like her face has too much work done to it where 1 & 3 seem less PS.
